Bridal Boudoir

A GIFT TO YOUR SPOUSE

Your wedding is an exciting time in your life! You want to make sure to savor every moment. A sexy bridal-themed photoshoot is the perfect way to capture some memories and create the perfect custom gift for your significant other.

A GIFT TO YOURSELF

A bridal boudoir shoot is a low-pressure session. It’s a fun way to get over the nervousness and jitters of being the center of attention and spending time in front of the camera. Because you’ll be working on a number of poses for your bridal shoot, it will help your wedding day photos look their best because you know what poses work, and have practiced them in the studio.

These sessions can help a bride-to-be to gain confidence in front of the camera, as well as allow an opportunity to test makeup and hair styles that could be used on your special day.

Don’t forget that makeup for your wedding is going to be more full coverage than you may normally be comfortable with. If you aren’t familiar with wearing makeup, it can be a little bit alarming to see yourself all done up. Having a session beforehand will help you to see how it looks on camera. Hopefully this will help you feel more comfortable with your makeup on your wedding day.

(Note: Our makeup artists also offer wedding day packages. If you love their work, they can sometimes be booked for your wedding.)

OUTFITS FOR YOUR SHOOT

What should you plan on wearing for your bridal boudoir shoot? Many brides will bring a veil or other bridal accessories that they’ll be wearing for the big day. Typically this can include white bodysuits, teddies, garters, stockings, matching lingerie sets, and slips.

We recommend some of the bridal lingerie from For Love and Lemons and Honey Birdette. Both companies have very nice bridal collections if you’re willing to invest in some quality pieces.

Our studio wardrobe also has some options for you, including a variety of veils and a pair of white Louboutin heels.

PLAN AHEAD

We recommend that you plan to do your shoot about three to six months before the wedding date. As you get closer to the wedding date, there will be so many things to coordinate. You don’t want your boudoir session to be just another chore. This lead time also gives you the opportunity to plan the shoot, review and choose your photos, order the prints/package, and have them shipped to arrive in time before your wedding.

DON’T FORGET ANNIVERSARY SHOOTS OR DO-OVERS

Maybe you decided to skip the bridal boudoir session and now you’re feeling some regret. The wedding is over but you still have the dress. It’s the perfect time for some fun shoots that you may have been too worried about before the wedding. Now we can incorporate your dress in some very creative poses. It could be the perfect one year wedding anniversary gift for your spouse!

We’ve also have some clients come to us after being disappointed with wedding photos done by other photographers. They hired us to do some post-wedding portraits that are a bit more dramatic, stylistic, and sexy. It was a great opportunity to get the photos they really wanted in a more relaxed and stress-free environment.

Krystal + Kyle

This couple!  They’re my dream clients!  Kyle and Krystal are just the kindest people around.  They are so genuine, and I’m so honored to have been their wedding photographer.

Their venue was perfect!  Both the ceremony and reception took place at a wedding venue called Skyview Lodge in Brunswick, Ohio.  There are so many great little spots to shoot around the property which meant we didn’t have to spend time traveling to other locations for the formal photos.  I LOVE having everything in one place.  It eliminates so much extra stress.

We started off with the first look which was EPIC!  One of the most beautiful first looks I’ve ever done for sure.  For those who aren’t sure what a first look is, it’s a way for the couple to see each other for the first time before the ceremony, in a more intimate setting.  Some couples want a private experience with just the two of them and the photographer, other couples allow friends and families to be there to experience it as well.  I love when couples decide to do this because the schedule is typically much more relaxed this way.

My second shooter and I were able to get the group photos wrapped up seconds before the rain began.  The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.  The rain ended up being a blessing because it forced everyone to sit and relax.  The wedding party got a chance to grab some food and rest before the ceremony.

The rain stopped at the perfect time and the outdoor ceremony was absolute PERFECTION!  We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

We even got some amazing night shots with the venue in the background.  Krystal and Kyle chose some of these images for their wedding album and they looked stunning in print!

Sweet. Simple. Perfect.

I had the opportunity to photograph an intimate wedding in Toledo this past Saturday.  Laura and Ben had a beautiful, stress-free day.  It was the perfect way to enter into a marriage.  We met up before the ceremony to take some getting ready shots.  The space we used was AMAZING!

The bridal accessories were gorgeous.  Laura's shoes looked like something Cinderella would have worn.

Then I laid eyes on the dress!  SIMPLY STUNNING!  The beading.  The details.  The train.  Absolute perfection!

And the bride's adorable dogs helped too!

We took some family photos before leaving for the venue.

And just a few more of the STUNNING bride.

The reception was held at 20 North Gallery in the historic downtown Warehouse District of Toledo.  Ben and Laura couldn't have chosen a better venue for their ceremony.  It is a gorgeous space that accommodated their guests perfectly.

The ceremony was short, sweet, and filled with love.  Ben's daughter had a special role in the wedding as well.  It was a perfect day.
